The New Museum of Los Gatos received 970 submissions of students' works from Santa Clara County, of which 60 pieces will be exhibited.  Two of our own CHS Artists were chosen for this juried show.  Be sure to congratulate Jongho Weon, and Justin Sze the next time you see them!  Their work will be on display at the museum between March 23rd and April 16th.  Stop by for an amazing showcase of student artwork from the Santa Clara County!

Volunteers & Donations Needed for March Teacher & Staff Appreciation Lunch:

Friday, March 17th

As has been done in March in years past, let's celebrate our wonderful CHS Staff (and St. Patrick's Day!) by serving a Baked Potato Bar on Fri, March 17th.

We are in most need of people who can bake potatoes and bring them hot from 12:00- 12:30pm. (We will provide the potatoes and cooking instructions.) Other items are also very appreciated, and can be dropped off at the front office starting at 7:30am.

Many thanks to the parents who helped with the Chinese New Year Lunch that was very successful.  The parents appreciated the lunch and opportunity to celebrate.


Student Programs

Springfest will be April 7 . This program was a huge success last year.  We will need parent volunteers to chaperone this event.  Please look out for the email looking for volunteers.


Parent Programs

College Case Study for Juniors only. March 29 5:45 (check in) -8:30pm. This event will walk students and one parent through the college application process with actual college admission representatives from colleges all over the nation. Volunteers Needed for College Case Study Night, Wed, March 29 – shifts vary: 4:30-6:00, 5:30-6:15, 5:30-7:45, 7:30-8:00

Let us know if you can help us make sure the College Case Study Night runs smoothly. We will need help with set-up, check-in, case study room monitoring, and clean up.

This is an especially great opportunity if your student is not a junior and you are interested in having a sneak peek of the sessions – sign up to be a room monitor.

Nominations:   Please consider joining our board.   Our PTSA connects the community - families, students, teachers, and staff.   We support our school’s initiatives through a variety of programs.

Goodwill Donation Drive - Sunday, March 19 from 10 AM to 4 PM

Get rid of your clutter and help our school at the same time!  

Please drop off your clutter for a good cause!  A truck will be in the

CHS Band parking lot on Sunday, March 19 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

We'll help you unload.  At the end of the day, the truck will be weighed and we will receive a check based on that weight.

What we can take: Books, clothing, shoes, household items, accessories, toys, e-waste, monitors, stereos, VCRs, telephones, and other small electronics.

What we can't take: Large appliances, carpet, food, liquids, weapons, chemicals, pet or medical items, car parts, construction debris (lumber, concrete, bricks, etc), or items weighing more than 50 pounds.

ALL proceeds go to Tino Grad Night 2017! Thank you for your help!
