This event will walk students and one parent through the college application process with actual college admission representatives from colleges all over the nation. Seats are limited by the number of representatives coming, (We do not have  a count of the reps coming yet, so the current plan is to begin releasing tickets March 1.)  Sign up for College Case Study after March 1st:  Case Study

Syrous Parsay will be speaking in depth about a topic that was briefly discussed in his Roadmap to College workshop. This lecture will provide guidance on the steps sophomores and juniors should consider to prepare for college application process this summer.

Mr. Parsay is a retired inventor, entrepreneur, and business executive. He lectures at Stanford University as well as at local educational establishments on topics of science and dimensions of wellness, disruptive technologies, entrepreneurship, financial planning, college planning and more. Mr. Parsay is also a mentor to broad demographic of individuals from college students to corporate executives.

Drug and Alcohol Awareness - Tue, January 31, 2017 8:00 – 9:00 PM PST in CHS Cafeteria

Do you know the signs of being high?
Do you know the ramifications for teens under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol?
Do you know what drugs look like? How much they cost?
 
Come and hear from our local Sheriff on this important topic and what you should do if it affects you or your student. This is great information for both parents and students beginning at 8pm.
 
 
You are also welcome to attend our regular PTSA meeting prior to the presentation at 7pm. The Math Department Chair,Stacey Jaehnig, will be discussing the CHS math program.

Road Map to College by Syrous Parsay- Sept. 2016

Join us on September 13 for Seniors or on September 20 for all other grades  at 7pm in the Theater for an informative evening on the College process presented by Syrous Parsay courtesy of  the CHS PTSA.
 
Attendees will get a clear understanding of the college application process and how to lessen the stress of getting through it all. Please bring pen and paper to take notes, as there will be no handouts. Topics covered:
  • Timeline of application process
  • Financial Planning
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of students, parents and support resources
  • Insight on how to manage the stress of the process
