The CHS PTSA Nominating Committee, after considering all eligible candidates for the 2017-18 school year, presents the following Slate of Officers for the Association's consideration. 


 

Join the PTSA Board for 2017-18

Please consider joining the CHS PTSA board for 2017-18 school year. Our PTSA connects the community - families, students, teachers, and staff.  We support our school’s initiatives through a variety of programs.

 

We have openings for the following positions:  President, VP of Student Programs, VP of Parent Programs, VP of Membership, Auditor, Historian, Parliamentarian, Volunteer Egroups, and Reflections Chair.  If you are interested or would like to nominate someone, please email chsnominatingcommittee@gmail.com or email any board member (our emails are located on the PTSA page of the school website.

November PTSA Meeting


Our November meeting was well attended. Many thanks to FUHSD Superintendent Polly Bove, Board member Bill Wilson, and Special Principal John Dwyer for coming and speaking about changes in our district and giving an update on the district. We appreciated the information that was presented. For those who missed the meeting, the slides are here
 
We also would like to thank Science Dept Chair Teri Hanigan for presenting an update on the science department and giving an update on the AP Environmental Science Course.
 
We will have the association meeting on Dec 13th at 7pm.

CHS Honorary Service Awards 2016-2017

Happy to recognize the exceptional contributions of these amazing teachers and parents to the Cupertino High School community! We would not have near the success without their ideas, energy, and hard work. 

Andy Walzak - Outstanding Administrator - His commitment to our students is outstanding - he has shown kindness and dedication, especially with extra curriculars.
Daniel Stavis - Outstanding Teacher - He’s an excellent advisor for the Synopsis Science Fair participants.
Christina Masuda - Outstanding Teacher - She’s a very caring teacher who is trusted by many students and hard working.
Anna Tran - Outstanding Teacher - She connects to her students and cares about their well being with her participation for the Stanford Challenge Success and Wellness Task force.

Ruth Ashkenazai - HSA Award -Her commitment to the students as the President of the Speech and Debate club as well as volunteering for band has been tremendous.

Jenny Martin - HSA Award - She has increased participation for the Reflections Award contest and served on the district CAC committee. She also helped with Athletic Boosters, council PTA
events, Grad Night, and Cupertino Actors Theater.
Ione Yuen - HSA Award - She has been president of the Grad Night Boosters three times, was the VP of Parent Programs, and has helped with wrestling, cheer, and band.
Myoung Kang - Golden Oak Award - She has served as President of the PTSA Board for thelast 2 years initiating our Tino Crew for parents, brought Grad Night back to campus, serves on the FUHSD Foundation, has been active with supporting the water polo team, cheer, drama and a myriad of other contributions over the past 12 years.

PTSA Volunteer Program

Volunteering is a wonderful way to stay in touch with the happenings at CHS and a way for you to meet CHS parents, staff and administrators. Parent volunteers are needed for a variety of important school-wide programs and events.  Please know that even a few hours of your time can make a tremendous difference! 

-  Be a Student Success Center Tutor

-  Volunteer at Residency Verif. Days
-  Help with Admin Tutorial
-  Support FUHSD programs and events

-  Contribute to Staff Appreciation events

Volunteer at the annual Career Fair

Requests for Reimbursement, Requests for Payment Authorization and Check Advances should be made by sending the appropriate form to Priya Krishnakumar dropped in the PTSA mailbox in the school office, or brought to the monthly PTSA meeting.  All forms must have receipts or invoices attached.
