Stanford Medical students and co-directors of the SCCMA/Stanford Transformative Experience in Medicine (SSTEM) provide high school students with a weekend program to increase engagement in science through hands-on projects and exposure to careers in medicine.

Increasing the diversity of physicians in medicine is one of their primary goals. They would like to extend the invitation to Cupertino High School students!

The program will take place over three weekends: May 6th, May 13th, and May 20th of 2017. The first two sessions will take place in San Jose, with the last session taking place at Stanford. Each session will last approximately 5 hours, between 8:30am and 1:30pm.

It is completely free for CHS students!

Visit their website for information about program dates, application deadlines and some background on each of the co-directors. (See website below)

https://stemprogram.wordpress.com

The application will go live in February for the program this year.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact their outreach directors, Rosa (rosalyu@stanford.edu) and Jeffrey (je11@stanford.edu)
