About Us

Cupertino High School (CHS) is a comprehensive high school with an enrollment of just under 2,000 students in grades 9-12. Established in 1958, CHS is one of five high schools in the Fremont Union High School District and serves students from the suburban areas of Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose and Cupertino. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the City of Cupertino is a blend of residential areas and high technology industry including the home of Apple. The school benefits from industry partnerships and strong community support.

Our school mission statement is to achieve high levels of learning for all students—and we collaborate in course-alike teams to make that happen. An excellent co-curricular program complements the academic mission of the school. There is a thriving arts program, with award-winning groups in instrumental and choral music, publications, visual arts and drama. CHS also offers a wide variety of sports, clubs, student leadership opportunities and community service options. More than 84 percent of Cupertino students participate in at least one extracurricular activity.
