Safe Routes to School
The Cupertino HS Safe Routes To School team works closely with the city of Cupertino to increase the safety along the routes students travel to and from school. The team advocates with various municipalities for improved safety measures and works with various groups on campus to encourage students to walk, bike, or carpool to school.
Our Team is comprised of staff, parents, students, and community members - we are always looking for more road safety advocates. If you are interested in joining the team please contact Assistant Principal Steven Puccinelli (steven_puccinelli@fuhsd.org)
CHS Bike Busses
We know that it can be intimidating to have your student ride their bike to school with the traffic coming to Cupertino High School. We want to help teach safe bike travel to school, so we're setting up some Bike Busses (group rides with adult leaders) from various points in our community.
These Bike Busses will be on Tuesday, August 13 before New Student Orientation. This will be a great time to orient yourself to getting to campus with a fraction of the traffic.
There will be three routes:
- Santa Clara Route. Stop 1: Bed, Bath and Beyond parking lot. Stop 2: Sterling Barnhardt Park.
- Cupertino Route. Stop 1: Cupertino Library. Stop 2: Wilson Park. Stop 3: Creekside Park.
- Lawson Route. Stop 1: Portal Park
If you are interested in having your student participate, please complete this form. We will reach out to you with more specific information about a week before the event. Please note that these routes are contingent on rider interest and staffing.
