Who We Are
At Cupertino High School, our core curriculum, available to all students, is rigorous, standards-based and comprehensive. An excellent co-curricular program complements the academic program at Cupertino High School. The performing arts are thriving at CHS in the areas of drama, choral and instrumental music. CHS also offers a full slate of athletics, a host of clubs, student leadership opportunities, and community service organizations. Students give back to CHS through peer tutoring, ninth grade mentoring (Tino Crew) and Best Buddies.
Cupertino High School staff continually reassesses our programs to meet the needs of students in the 21st Century. Our school mission is to prepare students to be effective and productive members of society who possess skills in communication, critical thinking, lifelong learning, self-discipline and involved citizenship.
A variety of strategies have been implemented at Cupertino High School to improve teaching and learning as well as the wellness of our students. Every faculty member participates as part of collaborative teams dedicated to answering the questions: What should students know and be able to do? How will we know when they know it? What should we do to increase their chances of learning it the first time? What will we do when they do not?
