Meet our Students and Staff

Saagar Sanghavi, Class of 2018

Saagar is attending UC Berkeley, majoring in Computer Science

“The culture in our community is remarkable – students are always willing to go out of their way to support one another. High school is a place where you make dozens of crucial choices – who to hang out with, what clubs to join, what classes to take and what sports to try out for. While you may find yourself wandering, use these opportunities to develop your sense of self-identity and define who you want to be. Forming relationships with many of my teachers outside of class and connecting with them on a personal level helped me grow not only as a learner, but as an individual finding his place in the world.”

Arcadia Conrad, Theatre Teacher

Arcadia was named Cupertino High School Teacher of the Year for 2018. She has been a part of the Cupertino family since 2003.

"I wake up every day and try to remain open to what the day will bring. I can expect to spend part of every day with students laughing, setting limits, questioning, encouraging, listening and helping them find opportunities to take risks. Some days are full of fun, others are intense and full of the truth and pathos of the adolescent experience. All are important."

Noa Nevo, Class of 2018

Noa is attending UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Political Science

“Try everything! You never know what could spark a passion. Go to that dance, sports game or rally. What made my high school career special was the endless amount of support I received from family, friends, teachers and coaches. I was able to meet challenges and setbacks with determination and a positive attitude thanks to encouragement from those around me. One part of high school I’ll never forget is leading Best Buddies for two years. Having the opportunity to hold significant leadership roles as a teen contributed to my development as a person.”

Pete Hernandez, Student Conduct Specialist

Pete was named Cupertino High School Classified Employee of the Year for 2018. He has been a part of the Cupertino family since 2012.

"One of my favorite parts about working at Cupertino is being able to have a positive impact on a student's road to success - I get the opportunity to work with youth that may be in need of some guidance and mentorship."
